Solar Oven reaches over 100 C

Last year we created a solar oven and it successfully worked as a slow cooker.  We had used a galvanised sheet for the reflective surfaces but felt that this was limiting its performance.  So, opportunistically,  we acquired some mirrors from an old wardrobe and have recycled them for the oven. Wow! It now regularly reaches over 100 Centigrade and today we have cooked our rice in less than 2 hours.  Being based here in the south of Spain, where it is sunny for about 300 days of the year, it seems the most sustainable option to use solar power for all that is possible. We have electricity, hot water and now cooking all thanks to the sun.
